DyNAbind GmbH is a Dresden-based biotechnology company working on finding new medications for challenging disease targets. We use an exciting technology called the DNA-Encoded Library (DEL) to search the chemical space for new drug candidates thousands of times faster than traditional testing methods allow. We’re working together with leading pharma companies, biotech companies and academic labs worldwide to solve tomorrow’s drug discovery problems today.

We founded our company in 2017 and already achieved profitability in our third year of operation. Currently, we’re running a new investment round to allow us to continue aggressively scaling our technologies. As our organization continues to grow and develop, additional support is needed in the team. The Coordinator and Assistant to the CEO will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the CEO and assisting with office and project oversight. This is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding position that will require critical thinking, adaptability and outstanding organizational skills.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and project management support
  • Act as a liaison between CEO, team leaders and customers
  • Work closely with the CEO to keep him informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities
  • Manage CEO’s correspondence, incoming calls, calendar appointments and post
  • Assist the CEO with data collection and report preparation
  • Assist with travel arrangements
  • Schedule and organize meetings, on-site visits and team retreats
  • Host site visitors
  • Provide hospitality and event management services
  • Assist with recruiting and onboarding processes of new team members
  • Manage smooth office operation (replenishment of supplies, etc.)
  • Develop innovative ideas, coordination and optimization of internal workflows in order to contribute to the team success

 

Mandatory Qualifications/Experience

  • Full professional fluency in both German and English language
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to design and edit graphical presentations
  • Willingness to learn enough science to understand the basic concepts of DyNAbind’s business
  • A high degree of flexibility with regard to working responsibilities and structure
  • Ability to work in an agile manner and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment

 

Desirable Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous experience with coordination/executive assistance
  • Previous experience in the biotechnology sector
  • Previous experience in a startup or small company
  • Enough technical proficiency to communicate/troubleshoot with IT personnel
